Heaven’s Gate Caving

Are you an adrenalin junkie? Like to dangle over the edge of sheer cliff faces? If so, this adventure is for you! Professionally trained guides will show you the ropes and prepare you for some of the exciting cliff and cave rappels at Heaven’s Gate cave complex. No previous experience necessary for this action-packed day of rappelling!

Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfers for 2 and a half hours to the trail head. Be prepared for a day of climbing into the mountains along the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Cong Troi (Heaven’s Gate) Cave is a bridge connecting two separate mountains in the middle of a virgin forest near the Bhom Lom River. The cave is a gateway, through which you must pass in order to access an amazing expanse of untouched and unspoiled forest. Cong Troi is composed of both massive stalactites and stalagmites forming arches and pillars. These formations are caused by the deposit of minerals by water droplets over thousands of years.

Your day of discovery combines trekking through the river and tropical forest, rappelling 50 meters down into a cave, traversing 300 meters along Pra Zoong cave, and finally a 15 meter rappel down a waterfall. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the bottom at the falls and have time to swim at a small pool near the base. Finally we will hike back to the main road to meet our van and transfer 2 hours back to Hoi An or Da Nang.
